From Heathrow we travel up to the Yorkshire Dales and the stunning Lake District.  En-route we will stop for a comfort and coffee break and should arrive at our country town accommodation in Hawes by approximately 1.30pm. Your 7-night stay allows you to soak up the atmosphere of this historic market township, then onto the mountains and valleys of North Wales, the picturesque fishing villages of coastal Cornwall, then travel to the quintessential Cotswold for our four nights stay and end our tour on the beautiful Isle of Wight, from here we take you back up to Heathrow for your return journey to NZ.

 On this beautiful scenic tour, we roam spectacular landscaped and rural gardens. We steep ourselves in ancient castles and historical sites and breathe in the unique buildings that make up British village life.  We will do our best to answer as many of your questions as possible along the way.

 We will also take you to the superb Lost Gardens of Heligan – you may have seen the TV programs - and the amazing Eden Project conservatories. Entry fees for these two - own cost.

 As with all our tours, the accommodation we have chosen is of a high standard.  We stay in each location for seven nights (except for the Isle of Wight and Cotswolds), so you will not be living out of a suitcase.  

 During our time in the UK, Third Age Tours provides you with a hearty English breakfast each day and a daily three course evening dinner in Wales.   For your other evening meals, you may choose to dine in the restaurant in our accommodation, pop out for a typical British pub meal or treat yourself in a local restaurant of your choice to ensure you are getting the culinary experiences you desire. 

 Because many of the places and roads cannot be accessed in a large coach, we will travel in the comfort of a 17-seater bus where you can kick back, relax, and enjoy the spectacular views.  We will stop along the way for meanders and photo taking.  Bring heaps of film because we are travelling the lanes and villages which are rich with historical sites, thatched cottages, beautiful scenery and particular character.  We will endeavour to show you the quirky, typically English things that are everyday to the British but novel to the Kiwi. We guarantee lots of good times, fun and laughter.

Accommodation:

The accommodation we stay will add to the comfort and relaxing atmosphere of the tour.  All rooms have en-suite facilities, TV and access to telephones. Single rooms are available at extra cost.

The tour group:

Our friendly, companionable group size accommodates a minimum of 10, but no more than 12 clients.

Extending the trip:

Talk to us if you want to travel to the UK before the tour starts and meet us there and/or stay on after the tour and return home at your convenience.
