Day 1: D

Depart New Zealand for our approx 2-hour flight to beautiful Norfolk Island. On arrival we enjoy a refreshing Islander Fruit Cocktail, and then time to settle into our lovely accommodation. In the afternoon we visit the amazing Cyclorama, a 360-degree panoramic painting.

Day 2: B

This morning we take a Half-day Discovery Tour of the island with full commentary. A perfect beginning of your holiday, this tour will set the scene for the rest of your stay and introduce you to the splendours of the island including the views from the Queen Elizabeth Lookout and other scenic spots. You will marvel at the beauty, heritage and way of life that is enjoyed here today. Morning tea/coffee is included. This afternoon we will pay a visit to the chocolate factory then onto the liqueur distillery where we enjoy complementary tastings.

Day 3: B, D

After breakfast we join the Convict Ruins Tour around the historic Georgian settlement of Kingston.  Full commentary from the guide gives us an insight into brutal history of Norfolk.  We take a walk through the ruins of the jail and through the cemetery.  Morning tea is again included.  This afternoon is at leisure for you to rest and relax around the pool, walk through the beautiful gardens, and enjoy the wonderful, relaxed atmosphere of Norfolk Island.

 Day 4: B

We will visit the beautiful Emily Bay and for those that wish to, take the optional cruise out on a glass bottom boat over the coral reef with a local colourful character, who cracks the jokes and tells the stories (own cost). For those who choose not to do the cruise, you can stay on the beautiful Emily sandy bay for a swim, or just go for a leisurely stroll around this beautiful horseshoe shaped bay area.  There are ample tables and chairs in the sun or shaded by the majestic Norfolk pines.  In the afternoon, we will go for a “Walk on the Wild Side”; a native garden, which is full of surprises, after which we have a lot of fun at a unique nine-hole mini golf course right next a “smoking volcano”.

Day 5: B, D

Today we take a Tiki tour to Mt. Pitt, the highest point of the island for wonderful panoramic views overlooking the Burnt Pine shopping centre and the uninhabited picturesque Phillip and Nepean islands.  Great photo opportunities!  We continue a scenic drive past the Island’s only coffee plantation and the walking tree!!  Then on to Captain Cook’s Monument which is of historic interest, here we will have some relaxing time and enjoy this beautiful scenic area. We then call in at the local pottery, a small cottage industry.  After which, we will enjoy some free time.

Day 6: B

The morning is at leisure, maybe some time for retail therapy as the shops are closed on Saturday afternoons.  After lunch we visit the Pitcairn Settlers Village to see the treasures and trinkets of the Pitcairn Settlers and enjoy the gracious old Bailey Homestead and gardens. Tonight, we participate in The Progressive Dinner, a charming evening in which to meet the locals.  We take you to three different island homes as you take in the warm hospitality of the local island families.  Enjoy a three-course meal as you experience the rare personal atmosphere that these unique family homes bring to this fun and enjoyable evening. BYO if you wish.

Day 7: B, D

This morning is at your leisure, an opportunity to do last minute shopping maybe to get some souvenirs, (shops are closed in the afternoon).  After lunch we will make a goodbye tiki tour around Emily and Kingston Bay and feed the ducks and geese. Dinner tonight is YOUR night as a convict, for a hilarious time with the Commandant and enjoy a wonderful meal (be prepared to split your sides laughing!!!)

Day 8: B

All good things come to an end. Today we farewell this beautiful unique island taking with us lovely memories and the “Norfolk smile” as we board the aircraft for our homeward journey.
