Amazing Thailand - Land of smiles

Day 1
Flight from New Zealand to Bangkok

Day 2
Bangkok Sightseeing We do a tour of the city and temples, visit the reclining Buddha and golden Buddha in the breathtaking splendor of the temples. Afternoon free.

Day 3
Floating markets and Rose garden Visit the craft markets on the way to the exhilarating unique floating markets travel down the canals in the Long Tail boats then on to the Rose Garden, lunch here is splendid with a huge variety and “all you can eat.” We see a fabulous show of culture dancing and elephants playing.

Day 4
Bridge over the River Kwai We travel to Kanchanaburi by coach to the infamous Bridge over the River Kwai, then a train trip on the historic Death Railway. Visit the museum and gardens of the fallen. Enjoy a great lunch on the banks of the River Kwai.

Day 5
Bangkok to Chiang Mai Leave hotel for our flight to Chiang Mai. Check in to our fabulous hotel at Chiang Mai., relax, have a swim in the pool or just soak up the atmosphere. Chiang Mai is the place to shop, the markets are incredible, only two minutes walk from hotel.

Day 6
Craft Markets/Cultural Dancing Show in the Evening Tour of the craft markets which include jewellery, pottery, silk, painted umbrellas. This evening we enjoy a wonderful Kantok meal whilst watching cultural dancing and “long finger nailed dance”. This is so elegant. A great cultural night out.

Day 7
Elephants at Work Fabulous day today. We visit the working elephants, watch the show, take an optional ride on the elephants, have your photos taken with some of the Maa Sae Hill Tribe wearing their traditional clothing.

Day 8
Highlight of the trip : “Long Neck Hill Tribe” We visit the Long Neck Hill tribe located almost on the Burmese border. An exciting full packed day. We visit orchid farms, butterfly farm, we look at the incredible Chiang Dao cave and the Mong village, an absolutely amazing day.

Day 9
Free Day – Chiang Mai Your free day in Chiang Mai. See Brenda for options or just laze by the pool.

Day 10
Chiang Mai – Phuket Island Say goodbye to this incredible friendly region. Join the flight now at Chiang Mai airport to Phuket Island. Settle in and browse the area, take a walk on the beach.

Day 11
Tour of the Island We do a tour of Phuket Island, visit a rubber plantation. Visit to one of the largest jewellery manufacturers in the world. Affordable prices. Other interest on this tour.

Day 12
Free Day - Phuket Your free day in Phuket. Relax on the beach, stay by the pool, see Brenda for options. Suggestion of incredible Fantasia Show in the evening.

Day 13
Free Day - Phuket You’ll have already found there is so much to do here you’ll want another free day in Phuket. Relax on the beach, stay by the pool, wander the markets, pop over to Phi Phi or any of the other islands. We’ve changed our itinerary to include this extra day here at client’s request.

Day 14
Homeward Journey: Last minute morning browsing. All good things must come to an end. Flight from Phuket to Bangkok for our homeward bound journey.

Day 15
Flight home to New Zealand.

  • Accommodation: Our hotel accommodations are all ensuite, with T.V. and telephones. Swimming pools, restaurants, café’s and bars and are all serviced with extremely helpful friendly staff, always with a ready smile.
  • The Party Group: A small group of 5 – 16 travelers make it friendlier.
  • What to Take: Lightweight clothing for day use but bring a couple of warmer items, including solid footwear for the Long Neckhill Tribe excursion. There is not much walking but the ground can be really muddy.
  • Food and Water: All buffet style “all you can eat” breakfasts are included and are an absolute feast. A variety fit for a king, from simple toast, cereal and fresh fruit to eggs and bacon or an exotic Asian affaire, you can choose. There are three fabulous lunches and one evening meal also included in the price.
  • Bottled water is readily available and is inexpensive.
  • Personal Spending Money: You will require very little spending money as the trip covers most needs except for water and food costs, allow NZ$20-25 per day and you will eat well. Other allowance should be made for personal shopping expenditure.
  • Insurance: The trip price excludes insurance. Medical, loss of luggage insurance cover is essential and cancellation insurance is highly recommended at time of booking.
